White Oak Natural Wide Plank Flooring
White Oak Natural is one of our best sellers. Natural flooring is the wood in it's natural form, with a wire brushed and matte finish. This gives it some texture that easily hide potential scratches, dents, dirt, and dust. The natural tone is light, with some golden hues that highlight all the natural character. It is a versatile stain that can lend itself to traditional, rustic, or work in a modern farmhouse setting.
Our wide plank white oak is sawn with the live sawn method, which provides a very unique grain. A large majority of the grain is quarter sawn giving it incredible stability which is the reason we can offer it up to 10" wide. A 7" Live Sawn board will shrink and expand roughly as much as a 4" plain sawn board making this floor the perfect option for a cottage. For wide planks we recommend a nail and bead glue installation. The live sawn is a perfect floor for dogs.

Customer Reviews
After two years away we were finally able to return to our vacation in house in Nova Scotia this summer, where we found your live-sawn white oak floor installed and waiting for us. It’s more beautiful than we could have hoped. The long, wide boards give an authentic appearance, as though the floor has always been here in our 150-year-old house. The quality is first-rate, and the color (Natural Wire Brushed) and pattern are beautiful. Our local contractor, Paul McCauley, did an excellent job on the installation, and we’re all hopeful that the floor will hold up well in our unheated house this winter and for many years to come. It's no small thing to purchase a floor from someone you've never met who is located a thousand miles away, in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, no less. Thank you again for your honesty and integrity, your sound advice, your remarkable product, and for service above and beyond the call of duty.
We were looking for the perfect flooring to go with the build of our three season timber frame cottage in Northwestern Ontario. We were looking for something along a rustic theme that would standup to the wear and tear of summer traffic as well as withstand the variance in temperatures it would be subjected to throughout the four seasons. We were presently surprised when we came across Gaylord flooring and instantly made a connection with Greg Gaylord. He walked us through the selection process, answered all of our questions regarding the pros and cons of installing hardwood flooring into a three season cottage and sent us good, representative product samples to help us with our choice. When it came time for the delivery of our flooring during the height of the pandemic there wasn't a reasonable national transport company in sight that would delivery our flooring. This wasn't a deterrent to Greg and he went the extra mile to make sure we had our flooring when required, sending his own truck out to make the 2 1/2 day journey. Our installation contractor said it was the best wood flooring product he has worked with and noting that there was minimal wastage given the quality of the floor planks. Now the first thing you notice walking into our cottage is the new flooring and how ties the whole cottage together. If you are looking for above average service and people that care about their products look no further than Gaylord.
