The Natural Quarter & Rift white oak is one of our favourite finishes on the quartersawn white oak. It's a beautiful warm tone that highlights this specialty cut while showing off the stunning natural variation throughout. It is is a popular finish, as it's not only timeless but extremely versatile. It works seamlessly in an array of settings; with various styles and finishes. This floor will growth with you and your home as your styles may change. 

Quarter & Rift sawn white oak is one of our specialty cuts that we offer. The grain pattern in the quarter sawn white oak is very tight giving it a cleaner, more uniform look than your traditional oak hardwood floor. The tight grain pattern in the quarter sawn white oak is created when the log is cut into quarters and then is sawn vertically.  This vertical grain not only looks stunning, but it provides some amazing stability making it an ideal choice for an array of situations. It is a great option of radiant heat as it expands and shrinks very minimally. Most beautiful floor ever!

I never write reviews, but in this case, I felt I needed to highlight how pleased we are with the floors. It’s everything I was hoping for and more!

The carpenters kept telling me how they had never seen such a high-quality floor with extremely tight v-grooves and such lengths. We installed the day following delivery as was suggested, and the result is outstanding.

We are very grateful to Greg and the Gaylord team for the effort with the lengths, the amazing rift cut look on our custom white oak floors. I hand-picked every board for the main room and corridor and it is fit for magazines.
