Labourer (Summer Student Position)

Location: Tweed, Ontario
Employment Type: Summer Student Position (8 weeks, Seasonal)

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a seasonal 8-week position for a summer student. This role involves working in our warehouse and workshop, assisting with deliveries, and performing general labour tasks. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone interested in construction, trades, or logistics.

Duties

  • Load and unload hardwood flooring materials
  • Assist with organizing and preparing inventory in the warehouse
  • Support basic workshop and carpentry-related tasks
  • Ride along on deliveries and assist on job sites
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Assist with other general labour tasks as needed

Skills & Requirements

  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials
  • Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
  • Interest in construction or trades is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for the Canada Summer Jobs program

COMPENSATION & COMPANY SUPPORT 

  • $17.60/hour
  • Expected Hours: ~35 hours/week
